Guide Privacy settings on Twitter

The Cyber Hate Assistant has developed a guide for you to change your privacy settings on Twitter. Through these settings, you can make your profile private so that only your Twitter followers can see your tweets.

How can I review my privacy settings?

  1. Click on the picture icon to the upper right. If you are on the Twitter app, the picture icon is to the upper left. 
  2. Click on Settings and Privacy.
  3. Click on Privacy and safety in the left column.

How can I make my account private?

  1. Click on the picture icon to the upper right. If you are on the Twitter app, the picture icon is to the upper left.
  2. Click on Settings and Privacy.
  3. Click on Privacy and safety in the left column.
  4. Tick “Protect your Tweets”.

When you “protect your tweets” only your Twitter followers can see what you write. People who want to follow you have to send a request that you can accept. Your previous followers will still be able to see your tweets and do not have to send a new request.
